Course Description
646. Software Law (Kalodner) (3 hours)
Using cases and problems, this course will consider intellectual property protection of software through trade-secrets law, copyright law, patent law and trademark law, contracts and licensing of software, and the emerging international law protecting the sale, licensing and use of software. Time permitting, we will also consider the application of antitrust law to the computer industry. LAW 739, Copyright Law, is a useful but not required prerequisite.
